BlinkHub turns official government press releases into ready-to-publish news copy. This plugin pulls the countries and language you choose into your site as drafts (or published posts, if you prefer), keeps the source’s licence notice and a link to the original release, and never overwrites your own canonical URL.
When one of these stories is published on your site, the plugin reports the post URL back to BlinkHub so the original source can see where it ran. Organisations’ paid press releases are always labelled “Press release”, and you can switch them off.
This plugin is made by BlinkHub (blinkhub.net), the operator of the news feed it connects to.
External service
This plugin connects to the BlinkHub news feed API (https://wire.blinkhub.net), operated by BlinkHub. It sends nothing until you save an API key.
- The verification code field only prints a meta tag on your pages; it makes no request.
- What is sent: your API key; requests for article lists and articles; and, for stories you publish, the post URL, publish time, language, post ID and status (published or removed). No reader data and no personal data is sent.
- When: on the schedule you choose (every 15, 30 or 60 minutes) and when you click “Import now” or “Test connection”.

- Upload the plugin and activate it.
- In your BlinkHub dashboard (News feed API), register your site and copy the verification code.
- Go to Settings BlinkHub Wire, paste it into “Verification code” and save. Then press Verify in the dashboard.
- Paste the API key you receive into “API key”, choose countries and language, click “Test connection”, then “Import now”.

Can I edit imported stories?

Yes. Keep the attribution line at the end: the government licences (Open Government Licence, CC BY 4.0) require it.

Only when the source licence allows it and you turn on image import. Most government sources exclude photos.
