This plugin adds an additional layer of security to your WordPress website by adding a basic authentication HTTP to the wp-admin and wp-login pages. This means that before accessing these pages, users will be prompted to enter a username and password. This can help to prevent unauthorized access to your website’s backend.

Installation
Upload the plugin to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
